This course is ideal for students aspiring to pursue higher education in science, engineering, or related fields. It emphasizes the application of physics concepts through calculations and reasoning, preparing students to solve complex problems encountered in both academic and professional environments.
Our focus is on building a strong understanding of core physical principles, encouraging students to think critically and approach problems with logical reasoning. This course helps lay the groundwork for success in college and future careers by offering deep insights into how physics applies to the real world.
At Acamind, recognized as the best education center in Dubai, our experienced mentors provide personalized support to ensure students grasp challenging concepts and apply them effectively. Through one-on-one sessions, we assist students in identifying their strengths and addressing any gaps in their understanding. We create tailored study plans that match each student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they are fully prepared for their Physics AS/A Level exams.
In addition to academic support, we also focus on building the student’s confidence and problem-solving abilities, helping them develop the resilience needed to tackle even the most difficult areas of physics. Our goal is to equip students with both the knowledge and the skills to succeed in their exams and future academic pursuits.
The Physics (AS/A Level) course is typically divided into two main stages:
AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary)
A Level (Advanced)
The Physics AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary) Course is designed to equip the students with a basic knowledge of physics with a view to building on it for further courses. It is one of the AS-level qualifications and acts as a prerequisite to the advanced-level topics offered in the A-level physics course. What you learn prepares you for higher education or for jobs in science, engineering, technology, and related professions.
The Physics A Level (Advanced) course is a two-year linear course for students who are keen on the application of physical knowledge in understanding life and environmental occurrences. The present course can be described as a systematic and profound view of the traditional and contemporary physics concepts with an accent on theoretical analysis and hands-on practice. It provides students with foundational knowledge for degrees in higher education in physics, engineering, science, and other technical-related fields and other professions that involve problem solving.
Students should have a strong foundation in GCSE Physics or equivalent, along with good mathematical skills, as the course involves significant use of algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.
The course covers mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, thermodynamics, nuclear physics, and modern physics. It also includes practical experiments to enhance understanding and application of theoretical concepts.
The assessment consists of written exams and practical assessments. Written exams test theoretical knowledge, while practical assessments evaluate experimental skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
